Outer District Police has arrested the criminal who murdered Sunil Dahiya, former sarpanch of Nahari village of Sonipat. The accused has been identified as Rahul Malik, resident of Najafgarh. Haryana Police had announced a reward of Rs 5,000 on the accused. A case has already been registered against the accused under murder and arms act. Police have recovered a pistol and two cartridges from the possession of the accused.
District Police Deputy Commissioner Jimmy Chiram said that the outer district special staff was keeping a watch on the miscreants. On April 5, the police received information that a criminal involved in a murder case was going to come to Pitampura village with weapons. After confirming the information, a police team was formed under the leadership of SI Sandeep Sheoran. The police team surrounded the village and arrested the accused.
During interrogation, the accused told that he is wanted in the case of murder of former sarpanch of Nahari village, Sonipat (Haryana). A case of murder is registered against him in Kundli police station. Investigation revealed that Haryana Police had declared a reward of Rs 5,000 on him. In 2018, a case was registered against the accused under Murder and Arms Act at Dwarka North police station. Are on bail in both the cases. A case has also been registered against him under the Arms Act in Ranibagh police station.
